I recently did a kitchen remodel for a customer who had a little girl and a really active dog. Needless to say she had her hands full long before we showed up to destroy her only working kitchen and make a ton of noise to boot. All of us guys are dog lovers and dog owners, so when she told me that she was thinking about boarding her pet till the job was finished so he didn’t get in our way I told her it was totally fine for him to hang out with us while we worked. All of us guys are dog lovers and dog owners, so taking a few minutes to walk him in shifts was no problem at all. Actually, there were a few times where we were scratching our heads trying to figure out how we were going to make everything work where we wanted it to, so instead of forcing any one idea to work, we put our tools down, grabbed the pup and walked around the neighborhood, throwing ideas out to see what would work. By the time we made it back, we figured out the best way to execute our idea, and the final product turned out better than we expected. All because we’ve learned over the years that if you have to force your will on something to make it work, chances are it’s not the right thing to do to begin with…..thanks for the help Ziggy Star dog!!
